Two former Keilir Aviation Academy students together on the flight deck of a Boeing 737. Michael Dencker Lauritzen from Denmark (on the left) and Martin Boyd from Sweden (on the right) were randomly scheduled to fly together on a flight from Malta to Belfast for one of the biggest airlines in Europe. None of them knew each other before they met that day. Michael attended Keilir Aviation Academy from 2012-2013 and Martin from 2015-2017. According to Martin, his two years in Iceland made him experience some of the most amazing and challenging flying with stunning views of Icelandic glaciers, volcanoes and much more. After leaving Keilir Aviation Academy, Martin landed a job on the 737 and after a few months of line training, he was allocated Malta as his permanent base.
