Two former Keilir Aviation Academy students together on the flight deck of a Boeing 737. Michael from Denmark and Martin from Sweden were randomly scheduled to fly together on a flight from Malta to Belfast for one of the biggest airlines in Europe.
Sandra Kristjansdottir graduated from the first Integrated Professional Pilot Program class at Keilir in 2016. She started her training at WOW air immediately afterward and completed her second training flight to Copenhagen last week. The captain of the flight was Snorri Pall Snorrason, Head of Training at Keilir Aviation Academy.
The Keilir Aviation Academy - Integrated Professional Pilot Program starts on Friday 26 August with an orientation day for new students. As with previous years, the program is fully booked. The orientation day will include an introduction to the staff and teachers at Keilir, training systems, facilities and our fleet of training aircraft. We look forward to seeing you at Keilir.

Keilir Aviation Academy has signed an agreement with TRU Flight Training Iceland securing access to the most advanced flight simulator in Iceland for Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training. There is a rapid increase in the number of pilot students at Keilir Aviation Academy in Iceland. Both Integrated Professional Pilot Program courses, with starts on 14 September and 26 October 2015, are now full and with a waiting list. Next integrated course starts 8 January 2016.
Keilir Aviation Academy has purchased Helgi Jónsson Flight School, the longest running flight school in Iceland. Subsequently, KAA has established the Helgi Jonsson Flying Club which will be operated at the premises of the former school at Reykjavik Airport.
